A warm, friendly welcome awaits you. We   are   a   small   family-run   coaching   inn   in   the   village   of   Leitholm   (pronounced Leitolm,   the   ‘h’   is   silent),   near   Coldstream,   in   the   Scottish   Borders.   We   are   family and    dog-friendly.    David    manages    front-of-house    and    our    cellar    while    Sarah manages behind the scene and cooks our delicous food. The   Scottish   Borders   offers   spectular   scenery,   loads   to   do   -   crafting,   golfing, walking,   cycling,   horse-riding,   fishing,   hunting,   wild   swimming,   surfing,   historical sites, wildlife boat trips to name but a few - and great places to eat local produce. Being    just    six    miles    from    the    Border,    we    are    perfectly    situated    to    explore Northumbland   as   well   as   Berwicksire   and   Roxboughshire.   We   are   45   miles   from Edinburgh   and   66   miles   from   Newcastle,   so   a   day   trip   is   easy   to   do   either   by   car   or car and train. We    welcome    cyclists,    bikers,    riders    and    walkers    whether    for    a    pitstop    or    an overnight   stay.   We   have   secure   storage   for   bikes   and   can   arrange   livery   stabling locally.   We   also   welcome   motorhomes/camper   vans;   please   phone   ahead.   We   do   not charge,   but   hope   that   owners   pop   in   for   a   drink   or   two,   or   a   meal   subject   to   table availability.   Weather-permitting,   vans   park   around   back   in   our   garden   with   a stunning   view   of   the   countryside.   Please   note   however,   that   if   the   ground   is   too soggy   parking   is   available   at   the   front,   roadside.   Using   our   toilets,   when   we   are open, is fine too. We are listed with Brit Stops and SearchforSites.   Accommodation: We   have   four   comfortable,   well-appointed   en-suite   guest   rooms   –   Hope,   Miller, Pitman   and   Thomson   -   on   the   first   floor;   all   rooms   are   strictly   non-smoking   and non-vaping.   Each   room   has   a   refreshment   tray,   kettle,   coffee   machine,   hairdryer, shaving    point,    toiletries,    towels,    tissues,    hand    sanitiser,    radio,    smart    TV    and complimentary wifi. Our   guest   rooms   are   available   seven   days   a   week,   including   dinner   if   requested   in advance. An iron and ironing board is available on request. Check-in   is   from   4pm,   with   our   preferred   time   is   between   4-6pm.   If   you   think   you will   arrive   later   than   6pm,   please   discuss   this   with   us   beforehand.   Please   check-out by 10.30am. Breakfast   is   served   in   our   Snug,   at   a   mutually   agreed   time,   between   7-9am Monday-Friday and 8-9.30am Saturday and Sunday. With a little notice, we are happy to provide a packed lunch. We   have   a   Guest   Information   Folder   in   each   of   the   bedrooms   with,   what   we   think is, useful information for guests; click here  to view the information. If   Booking.com   is   your   preferred   method   of   booking   accommodation,   we   are   live on   their   system.   However,   contacting   us   directly   is   our   preference   and   usually affords   you   a   better   deal   with   the   flexibility   to   book   our   Dinner,   Bed   and   Breakfast rate   (available   seven   nights   a   week).   Whichever   way   you   book,   if   you   hope   to   dine with    us    please    make    a    reservation,    ideally    before    you    arrive,    to    avoid disappointment. HOPE A   double   bedroom,   with   a   feature   stone   wall   and   fireplace,   a   double   bed   and   a large en-suite shower room. ‘Hope’   is   our   dog-friendly   room   and,   when   mutually   agreed   at   time   of   booking,   one small-medium   dog   is   welcome.   We   do   not,   currently,   charge   a   fee   for   a   dog   staying however,   if   extra   cleaning   is   needed,   because   of   your   dog,   there   will   be   a   £50 surcharge. We ask dog owners to: - wipe your dog's paws if wet and/or muddy before going upstairs; - keep your dog off the furniture including the bed; -   not   leave   your   dog   alone   in   the   room.   Our   Bar,   Snug   and   Sitooterie   are   all   dog- friendly areas. MILLER A   double/twin   bedroom,   overlooking   our   garden   and   countryside,   with   either   a super-kingsize bed or two single beds and an en-suite shower room.   PITMAN A   double/twin   bedroom,   overlooking   our   garden   and   countryside,   with   either   a super-kingsize   bed   or   two   single   beds   and   an   en-suite   bathroom   (with   over-bath shower). THOMSON A double bedroom with a double bedstead and a large en-suite shower room. We are a small establishment so if you would like to join us for Dinner, please book a table as soon as possible, preferably prior to arrival, to avoid disappointment. Our Dinner option is from our full menu and is available to guests seven days a week. Please note that there may be a supplement for Specials; subject to availability. Deposit :   We   ask   for   a   deposit   of   the   cost   of   your   first   night’s   stay   at   the   time   of booking. Cancellation    policy :    Deposit    will    be    refunded    if    cancellation    notification    is received   in   writing,   email   is   fine,   up   to   seven   days   prior   to   arrival   date   and acknowledged by David or Sarah in writing.
