We    are    a    family-run    coaching    inn    in    the    village    of    Leitholm    (pronounced Leitolm,   the   ‘h’   is   silent),   near   Coldstream,   in   the   Scottish   Borders.   We   are family   and   dog-friendly.   David   manages   front-of-house   and   our   cellar   while Sarah manages behind the scene and cooks our delicous food. The   Scottish   Borders   offers   spectular   scenery,   loads   to   do   -   crafting,   golfing, walking,    cycling,    horse-riding,    fishing,    hunting,    wild    swimming,    surfing, historical   sites,   wildlife   boat   trips   to   name   but   a   few   -   and   great   places   to   eat local produce. Being   just   six   miles   from   the   Border,   we   are   perfectly   situated   to   explore Northumbland   as   well   as   Berwicksire   and   Roxboughshire.   We   are   45   miles   from Edinburgh   and   66   miles   from   Newcastle,   so   a   day   trip   is   easy   to   do   either   by car or car and train. WARM PLACE MONDAY 12-2pm During   the   colder   months   we   will   be   opening   the   Plough   at   lunchtime   on   Mondays.   We   will   be   offering   free food,   most   likely   soup,   a   filled   roll,   something   sweet   and   bottomless   tea   and   coffee   in   a   warm,   safe   and comfortable place. Pop along, even if it’s only for a blether. Working   with   the   Coldstream   Community   Larder   (CCL),   we   will   be   making   use   of   food   items   donated   to   the Larder   that   would   otherwise   go   to   landfill.   The   aim   is   to   help   reduce   food   waste   and   ‘feed   bellies,   not   bins!’. Each week’s offerings may be different or may be the same as there is no pattern to what the Larder receives.
