Top of Page News:                       March 2021 Pre-CV19,   one   of   our   plans   for   last   year   was   to   hold   some   Afternoon   Tea events.   Obviously   this   wasn’t   possible,   but   is   still   in   the   pipeline.   Strangely within   a   few   days   at   the   beginning   of   this   month,   we’ve   had   three   separate requests   for   takeaway   Afternoon   Teas.   After   posting   photos   of   our   offering,   we have   had   a   steady   flow   of   orders,   fabulous   feedback,   referrals   and   repeat business. December 2020 Friday   25   December   -   Following   the   First   Minister’s   announcement   on   Sat   19 Dec   regarding   increased   COVID-19   restrictions   for   the   majority   of   Scotland,   our Bar   and   Eatery   close   again.   We   will   also   suspend   our   B&B   and   Takeaway Service    from    then    until    Monday    4    January    and    Wednesday    6    January respectively   -   partly   because   getting   supplies   delivered   over   the   holiday   period is   more   difficult   this   year,   partly   so   we   can   do   some   planning,   but   mainly   so   we can   have   a   much   needed   rest.   Our   Newspaper   Service   will   continue,   seven days a week, throughout. Friday   11   December   -   from   6pm   we   are   allow   to   welcome   customers   in   for drinks   again   without   needing   to   have   food!   Current   COVID-19   guidance   applies -   no   standing,   table   service   only,   wear   a   mask   at   all   times   when   not   seated, give   T&T   details,   wash   and   sanitise   hands   often,   etc.   We   have   a   couple   of   casks of Ploughman’s Blonde being delivered on Thu 10 in readiness! November 2020 Wednesday   25   November   -   our   Bar   and   Eatery   reopens   to   diners   for   dinner. Our   popular   Italian   Night   will   be   every   Thursday.   Please   note   that   alcohol   can only be served with a main meal. Wednesday   4   November   -   our   Bar   and   Eatery   reopens   to   diners   for   lunch. Please note that alcohol can only be served with a main meal. The   menu   will   have   premanent   items   as   well   as   some   that   change   each   week. The   current   menus   will   be   available   on   our   Feacebook   page   (Menu   tab)   or   via this page. 9 August 2021 - CV19 update So today, in Scotland, we have moved ‘beyond Level 0’. The main change for The Plough Inn Leitholm is that we can reopen our Beer Garden as you are now allowed to come up to the bar to order and take your drinks outside. To minimise people standing, and potentially encroaching on others’ space, we are continuing ‘table service only’ in the Bar. Please note that, in Scotland, mask-wearing and recording names and contact details of everyone who comes in remains mandatory for hospitality. We will be continuing to provide hand-sanitiser and ask you to make use of it. We feel comfortable enough, while still remaining safe, to be able to add two tables in our Bar/Eatery. If you wish to eat and/or drink in the Bar, please book a table rather than turn up. This is to avoid disappointment (and it helps us plan). Call us on 01890 840408. If we have no bookings we reserve the right to close earlier than advertised (for our sanity).  Our Guest Rooms are available for B&B or DB&B seven days a week. Call us to check availability. Our Takeaway Food Service and Newspaper Service continue as usual following social-distancing and hygiene guidance. Click on the Takeaway Menu Board above to see times, how to book a collection slot and the food menu. In addition to food and newspapers, we also offer takeaway drinks - ales, ciders, wines, mixers and pop - a selection of Doddington Dairy ice creams, individual or 1L tubs, organic free-range large eggs and have a small supply of postage stamps As always, stay safe xx =====================================================================
